Panic gripped Dumka on Wednesday afternoon when a massive fire broke out among heavy vehicles parked along the Ring Road near AN College. According to eyewitnesses, smoke was first seen rising from one vehicle, and within minutes the flames spread rapidly to nearby trucks and hyvas. At least five vehicles, including three trucks and one hyva, were completely gutted by the fire.
Locals said some of the vehicles were carrying highly inflammable materials such as lighters, which caused the blaze to intensify quickly. Thick black smoke could be seen from a long distance, creating chaos in the area. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to control the flames after intense efforts, but by then the vehicles were reduced to ashes.
